Police Release Sketch of Suspect in Gaithersburg Rape

A 21-year-old woman was raped July 9 in Green Farm Conservation Park, police say.

 

Montgomery County Police released a sketch Monday of a possible suspect in a July 9 rape in the Laytonsville area of Gaithersburg.

Police said they were called to Green Farm Conservation Park, located at 8711 Snouffer School Road, at approximately 5:05 p.m. Monday, July 9 by a 21-year-old female who told police she was at the lake behind Hadley Farms community pool when she was attacked by an unknown male.

Members of the Hadley Farms community were stunned by the incident, with some saying it was the first in nearly 20 years.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Homicide/Sex Section at 240-773-5070. Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
