Sex Abuse Trial Scheduled to Start Tuesday For Germantown Teacher
Neelsvile Middle School teacher was indicted on two counts of third-degree sexual offense and one count sexually abusing a minor.
The trial is set to begin Tuesday for a Neelsville Middle School teacher accused of inappropriately touching one of his students.
Cuyler Jay Cornell, 51, of Stonebridge Court in Germantown, was indicted on two counts of third-degree sexual offense and one count of sexually abusing a minor, court records show.
Cornell, a seventh grade English teacher, had worked for MCPS since 1985 and had been at Neelsville since 2010, Patch has reported.
In February, police and school administrators were notified of alleged “inappropriate contact” between Cornell and a male student during the summer of 2011. An MCPS spokesman said Cornell was placed on leave as soon as the concerns were raised.
Police said Cornell was arrested without incident on May 7.
Attorneys Reginald Bours III and Alicia Lucero were representing Cornell, court records show.

How is it that all these authority figures think they can do anything they please to a child and then that no-one will notice or care? Be put on notice, who-ever you are, you deranged clergyperson, teacher, scoutmaster, coach; you touch one of my grand-kids or great- grandkids, and I'll come for you. And as old as I am, and as slow as the law is, I'll be well dead before they ever put me away for it. You are warned. Get help before you give me cause.

What if one of your grand-kids or great grand-kids made up a story just to get back at a teacher. Would you feel the same about them?
