A body was found floating in a pond near Nike Missle Local Park on Sunday and Montgomery County Police are calling the “suspicious,” Gaithersburg Patch reports. Today: Rockville Couple Keeps Youth Best-Seller’s Memory Alive
Jeni Stepanek, the mother of the late Mattie Stepanek, will be at Ingleside at King Farm for a ceremony certifying the retirement community as a “Peace Community” through the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation. Mattie is the 13-year-old best-selling poet who died in 2004 from a rare form of muscular dystrophy. Ingleside residents Bob and Laurin Balkam were the Stepanek family’s former neighbors and inspired the retirement community to become “Peace Community,” an Ingleside spokeswoman tells Patch. Strange news: Naked people arrested in Germantown
There were two such incidents in Germantown earlier this month, according to the most recent crime report released by Montgomery County police.  On July 1, a 60-year-old man was arrested for walking around naked in the 12900 block of Middlebrook Road. On July 7, a naked 18-year-old was arrested at a community pool in the 19600 block of Galway Bay Circle.

Monday Morning the Twitter-verse was all a-flutter with news that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge was in labor and that a new royal baby was on the way. Though the royal baby had not yet been born at the time this story was compiled (it was later reported that the Duchess gave birth to a baby boy), the Social Security Administration released its annual list of which baby names were most popular on this side of the pond. >>> See: The Royal Baby is Here!
