Little bites of information that you just can't live without!

Good morning North Potomac and Darnestown. Happy Friday!

1.  Enjoy this beautiful Friday weather. The forecast calls for a high of 87 and a low of 71 with a few clouds and a nice stream of sunshine throughout the day.

2.  Stop by before it’s too late to see local artist Jaimia Mertz’ showing of food-themed paintings at  Chloe's Coffee in the Kentland’s. The exhibit runs through August 7. 3.  For a rare treat, visit the Puppet Company Playhouse in Glen Echo today for a 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. showing of the Wizard of Oz! The show is 55 minutes long and ticket prices are $10. Call the box office at 301-634-5380, or visit online at www.thepuppetco.org.

4.  For a fun and adventurous night out, go to Seneca Creek State Park this evening for a night-life hayride. Learn about the nocturnal animals of the park and remember to dress appropriately, bring a flashlight and binoculars. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Road in Gaithersburg. 5.  It is supposed to be a beautiful evening tonight. Take advantage of the nice weather and visit the Universities at Shady Grove for the 15th anniversary of the Comcast Outdoor Film Festival. Disney’s “Tangled” will be shown at 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. There will be plenty of food concessions on hand to save you from cooking. Potomac Pizza, Hard Times Café of Bethesda and Ben & Jerry’s will be on site, and popcorn, candy and beverages will also be available for sale. The movie is free, but proceeds from food and beverage sales will go to the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health. For more information on the festival, visit www.filmfestnih.org.
