Last Chance: Tax Deadline Day

April 17 is the last day to file your taxes.

If you haven't already filed your taxes, hurry to a post office — if you don't, you'll be hearing from the IRS.

Today (Tuesday, April 17) is tax deadline day. Post offices will be running on normal operating hours, but Suburban Post Office in Gaithersburg will process mail (postmarked with today's date) until the final collection at midnight.

Here are your local post offices and hours of operation for Tuesday:

  • Suburban — 16501 Shady Grove Road, Gaithersburg
    • 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Final mail collection at midnight*
  • Kentlands — 618 Center Point Way, Gaithersburg
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Diamond Farms — 23 Firstfield Road, Gaithersburg
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Gaithersburg — 21 South Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you need to drop off your taxes from a different location, you can find your nearest post office on the United States Postal Service website.
