·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 8:30 p.m.

·      Description:  Cozy fire, night sky and tales about the constellations while roasting marshmallows.  Bring your own chairs and blankets. S’mores provided.

·      Cost:  $5

Cookie Moon

·      Where:  Black Hill Visitor Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Dr., Boyds

·      When:  Sunday, Aug. 4, 2 p.m.

·      Description:  Oreo cookies will be used to learn about the phases of the moon and other lunar facts.

·      Cost:  $5

Noyes Lane Street Fair Benefit

·      Where:   1711 Noyes Lane Silver Spring

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 2 p.m.

·      Description:  Live music, free food, moon bounces, face painting and a raffle and much more.

·      Cost: $20 donation suggested

Rock Creek Trail Bike Ride

·      Where:  Locust Grove Nature Center, 7777 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 10 a.m.

·      Description:  10-mile round-trip bike ride to Lake Needwood. 

·      Cost:  Free - Register at ParkPASS.org

Nourish Now - Canned Food Drive @ Kentlands Giant Foods

·      Where:  229 Kentlands Blvd. Gaithersburg

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, Sunday, Aug. 4

·      Description:  Nourish Now is hosting a canned food drive at Giant Foods in the Kentlands Shopping Center.

·      Cost:  Free

Hike to Cool Spring

·      Where:  Black Hill Visitor Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Dr., Boyds

·      When:  Sunday, Aug. 4, 9 a.m.

·      Description:  Nature lovers are invited to join a naturalist for a hike to the spring and along the edge of Little Seneca Lake. Babies and tots who can be carried are welcome. Meet in the Visitor Center parking lot. Transportation will be provided to trailhead. Wear shoes appropriate for hiking and bring water; hats are recommended.

·      Cost: $5

2nd Annual Lou Lou Day

·      Where:  All Lou Lou Boutiques

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 10 a.m.

·      Description:  Store wide charity shopping event.  Proceeds will support The 
Foundation for Women's Cancer, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) 
and the annual National Race to End Women’s Cancer, which takes place in 
November.

·      Cost:   15% of the day’s proceeds will be donated

Sunday Afternoon Waltz

·      Where:  Spanish Ballroom, Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo

·      When:  Sunday, Aug. 4, 2:30 p.m.

·      Description:  Waltz Dance in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park.

·      Cost:  $10

Cirque Italia "Spectacular Water Circus"

·      Where:  The Great Frederick Fairgrounds, 797 E Patrick St Frederick

·      When:  Friday, Aug. 9, 7:30 p.m.

·      Description:  Cirque Italia is an Italian entertainment company that brings a performance of European style complete with a state that holds 35,000 gallongs of water.

·      Cost:  Visit: www.cirqueitalia.com for tickets.
