Local Sikh Temple To Hold Candlelight Vigil Tonight
People of all faiths are invited to join in prayer for victims of Wisconsin Temple shooting
The Guru Gobind Singh Foundation will hold a candlelight vigil at the National Sikh Center tonight in support of the Oak Creek, WI, Sikh temple victims.
The center is located at 13814 Travilah Rd. in North Potomac.
Rajwant Singh, a member of the foundation and chairman of the Sikh Council on Religion and Education, said in an email to the local Sikh community that there will be services every evening this week from 7-8 p.m. “in remembrance and prayer for the victims of the shootings and their families.”

Six people were killed by a gunman and three others wounded Sunday at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee.
The candlelight vigil will take place after formal prayers on Tuesday beginning at about 8 p.m. The foundation encourages people of all faiths to attend, bring candles and wear white. Refreshments will be shared.
