Agrodolce is an Italian term for sweet and sour sauce, typically made by reducing vinegar and sugar with other ingredients; “agro” (sour) and “dolce” (sweet).  Agrodolce is also an Italian restaurant in Germantown that serves up deliciously authentic Old World Italian cuisine.

Lunch is served pseudo-cafeteria style by placing your order at the counter and watching the experts assemble your fresh, made-to-order meal. Choose from the terrific selection of sandwiches and paninis such as grilled chicken, meatball, prosciutto with mozzarella or Italian cold cut. Sandwiches are served with pasta salad or house salad. Don’t shy away from a delicious hot lunch by choosing pasta, risotto or gnocchi —  no regrets with fettuccine ai granseola featuring jumbo lump crabmeat, shrimp, onion, pancetta and spicy vodka-aurora sauce. 

You may consider being a vegetarian for a day with Agrodolce’s tempting Vegetarian entrees like squash risotto, gnocchi with wild mushrooms, or penne and grilled radicchio. And Neapolitan-style, wood-fired pizza is always a delectable option. 

Wait staff is provided for a casual and relaxed dinner service. If you like your antipasti, you’ll love your choices of green lip Belgian-style mussels, bruschetta, baked asparagus, calamari fritti, et al.
