Bites Nearby: Crepes A-Go-Go

Local crêperie offers a taste of France for any meal occasion.

It isn’t a walk down the Champs Elysees, but it is a little taste of Paris along Main Street in the Kentlands.

The term crepe is originated from the Old French crespe, or curly. And these curled up pancakes have become a culinary delight all around the globe.

Crepes A-Go-Go offers a wide and healthy variety of hand-made-to-order crepes. Only the freshest of fruits and or vegetables are folded into the thin, delicate pancake to create a unique taste experience that is not so easy to find this side of the pond.

Will it be sweet or savory? You decide.

Choosing a sweet filling for your crepe is easier said than done. With selections that include chocolate, Nutella, honey, syrup, jam, fresh fruits and berries, it will take some time until you settle on your favorite combination. Try ricotta cheese filling for a blintz-like treat.

We Americans tend to think of crepes only as a sweet treat, but Crepes A-Go-Go gives us a chance to expand our horizons.

Turn the dessert crepe concept into a meal with the selection of savory crepe fillings like cheese, smoked turkey, grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, ham, spinach, eggplant or peppers.

So whether you want a meal, a snack, or a dessert, do it the Parisian way with a crepe for any meal occasion at Crepes A-Go-Go.
