Whitehouse Brings to the Role 40-plus Years of Payroll Services Experience

Payroll Network, Inc. (www.payrollnetwork.com) – a workforce management solutions provider that customizes payroll, timekeeping, tax filing and human resources services to address the unique requirements of employers in the Mid-Atlantic region – announces that its executive vice president, George Whitehouse, CPA has been appointed to the Maryland Commission to Study the Regulation of Payroll Services.

Whitehouse has more than 40 years experience in the payroll processing industry. He joins the statewide Commission as a designee of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

The Commission to Study the Regulation of Payroll Services, formed as a result of legislation passed in the 2013 Maryland General Assembly in 2013, is studying the overall functions and services provided by firms operating within the state of Maryland. The commission – which is being chaired by State of Maryland Deputy Comptroller David F. Roose – will provide recommendations to the Governor and the legislature on matters pertaining to the regulation of payroll service companies in the state, and in establishing best practices for preventing fraud in tax collection and payment.
