1. After the wonderful weather we got this weekend, today isn't looking too good. Maybe Mother Nature is returning the favor. High temperatures will be around 46 and there will be showers on and off throughout the day (30 percent chance of precipitation).

2. Sandy Spring Bank is happy to host Dr. Herm Davis for another series of his highly valued College Financial Aid Seminars. Each seminar covers a range of topics from forms and process, through FAFSA and CSS Profile, to resources, aid and loans.

3. Notable event: U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, Congressman Van Hollen and U.S. Attorney Rosenstein will honor Montgomery County Police Officer Edward E. Paden Jr. with the Congressional Badge of Bravery Award.

5. On this day in history: Connecticut became the 5th state in the United States in 1788. Surveyor 7, the last of America's unmanned lunar probes, landed on the Moon in 1968.
