Five things to help you through the final day of November.

1. The rain has gone away for a day but so have the warm temperatures. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high of 50 degrees, but temperatures should hover in the mid-40s throughout the day.

2. Learn the four simple steps to keep you on the road, helping you run longer, faster, and more comfortably than ever before. . Please wear running attire and shoes!

3. Learn about the warning signs of Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. Early detection is often the key to good treatment. This workshop, at 8 p.m. in Chevy Chase, is presented by the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter.

4. In case you missed it: State senators and delegates from the 15th, 17th, and 39th districts visited Rockville’s Wootton High School on Nov. 28 for a discussion about issues that will affect education, schools, and the children who attend them in the upcoming legislative session in Annapolis.

5. On this day in history: The Brady Bill, requiring a five-day waiting period for handgun purchases, is signed in 1993.
