Five things to help you through your Tuesday.

1. What if I told you it's going to be warmer today than yesterday? I don't think you'd believe me, but that's exactly what the forecast predicts: mostly sunny with a high of 66 degrees.

2. Consider taking advantage of the weather by spending part of your day at the beautiful Seneca Creek State Park. Open from 10 a.m. to Sunset in November, the park extends along 14 scenic miles of Seneca Creek and according to its website offers hiking and biking trails, boat rental, fishing, flatwater canoeing and kayaking, historic interest, hunting, picnicking, and playgrounds among other things.

3. Tomorrow morning, hosts MCPS Superintendent Dr. Joshua Starr for a town hall meeting where students will have the chance to ask questions about plans for the school system. If you can't attend, the event will be broadcast on Comcast channel 34.

4. In case you missed it: The first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System will take place this Wednesday, November 9, at 2 p.m. EST.
