2. Tonight at sundown marks the start of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur. The holiest day of the year in the Jewish religion, Yom Kippur marks the day of repentance, and observing Jews fast from sundown tonight to sundown Saturday.

3. Pumpkin TrolleyFest, a special children's event running every Friday in October, opens today. "In addition to the complete museum experience, all $5.00 childrens' admissions will include a trolley ride to the pumpkin market where a token [included with admission] will entitle them to select a personal pumpkin to decorate and take home."
