5 Useful Things to Know Today: Sept. 15

With two days left in the work week, here are five things you need to know to get through your Thursday.

1. It wouldn’t hurt to carry an umbrella. The sun might be shining to start the day, but a 40 percent chance of precipitation including scattered thunderstorms could dampen the afternoon. A high of 72 degrees is expected, according to Weather.com.

3. Tonight is Quince Orchard High School’s Back-to-School Night. Make sure you’re on time, parents! It starts at 7 p.m.

4. The Meadowside Nature Center in Rockville is hosting “Starry Tales” from 1:30-2:30 p.m., a program that includes stories of the moon and stars as well as activities and crafts. Perfect for ages 3-5. Cost is $5. Register online or call 301-924-4141.
