5 Useful Things to Know Today: September 13

What you should know today to make your day a good one

1. It will be a beautiful day today, after all the rain. It's going to be mainly sunny and clear all day with the high around 84F.

2. Moms and preschoolers can get outside today in this nice weather with a trip to Meadowside Nature Center in Rockville. Today, they have a class for 4-6 years olds all about Squirrels. Chances are that Moms will learn something about those busy creatures who inhabit all of our yards. The class includes a hike and craft. 1:30pm-2:30pm. Registration is encouraged online. 3. Quince Orchard Library welcomes people to join the English Conversation Club 10am and 7pm for an hour of informal practice in conversational English. Native English speakers are welcome to attend and help non-native speakers get their phrases right. The QO library is at 15831 Quince Orchard Rd, North Potomac, MD. 4. Darnestown Elementary School is having part of their back to school night tonight at 7pm. This evening, they will host parents for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Tomorrow night, they will host parents of 3rd Grad through 5th Grade.
