Fall is in the air with a cool evening perfect for outdoor events, like high school football
1. The weather this morning will have some thunderstroms. The afternoon is expected to become sunny with a high around 81F. Tonight will be a cool, clear evening – perfect for being outside at one of the following events, but take a jacket. We are getting our first taste of autumn.
2. Tonight is one of the last outdoor music performances that are part of the Rio at Washingtonian Center's Summer Concerts. The Crawdaddies perform Zydeco, New Orleans and R&B style music. The show is n the RIO patio near the Paddleboats. 6-9pm
3. Quince Orchard High School's Varsity Football Team will be playing long-time rivals, Sherwood High School tonight, 6:30pm, at Quince Orchard. The game is also in support of "The Battle for the Cure," a fundraiser for juvenile diabetes. Both teams and marching bands have been selling T-shirts all week and will continue merchandise sales with proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

4. The Whitman and Wootton High School varsity football teams will also face off at Wootton High School tonight at 6:30pm. Wootton high school is located at 2100 Wootton Pkwy in Rockville.
5. Comedy & Magic Society Performances at the Kentlands Arts Barn, 8:00pm http://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/artsbarn Magicians Mark Phillips, Bob Sheets, Barry Wood, and Brian Curry invite you to join them for fun and magic. As audience members enter the theatre, they’ll step into the secret and very kooky world of the CMS, a collection of zany characters not quite clever enough to take themselves lightly. The shows are family-friendly and appropriate for kids ages ten and up. Tickets are $12 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.
