Locals React To Osama bin Laden Death On Twitter

President Obama confirmed Osama bin Laden was dead in a press conference around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

The Associated Press first reported the news that in Pakistan just after 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night. President Obama confirmed the news an hour later in a telvision news conference.

But by that time, North Potomac and Darnestown locals were already reacting to the news through social media. The celebrations and sharing of feelings continued on Twitter and Facebook into Monday morning.
