St. Nicholas Episcopal Invites Community to Darnestown Day

The second annual event is from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Last year it was an experiment, this year Darnestown Day becomes a tradition.

Saint Nicholas Episcopal Church is hosting the second annual on Saturday. Local food and craft vendors are bringing their goods to the parish grounds. of Good Life Farm will be there offering pony rides and a local musician will provide entertainment. 

The first event in 2010 brought out more than 1,000 people, this year, the church is hoping to double the turnout, said Liz Kraft, event organizer.

"It's about bringing the community together," Kraft said.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the church.
