A surprising snow storm and continued larceny from vehicles highlight this week's North Potomac news.

In the week leading up to Halloween, there was plenty of news in and around North Potomac.

Yesterday, of course, we saw only the sixth ever October snowfall in the last 139 years in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

A recent wave of larceny from vehicles has continued for the second straight week in North Potomac according to the Montgomery County Police Department's crime summary. We hope to have an update on the situation Tuesday afternoon.

The women of Darnestown Presbyterian Church don’t take any holidays for their annual fundraising bazaar. The church group’s Annual Holiday Bazaar and Craft Boutique will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Early in the week, Police identified the victims in an apparent murder-suicide at The Village at Rockville. The shooting involved a woman who was a rehabilitation resident at the facility and her husband, police said.
