Freeze Warning in Effect for Montgomery County

Temperatures may reach the low 30s in urban areas.

Update, Oct. 29, 5:30 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Montgomery County, in effect from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures may reach the low 30s in urban areas. The previous winter weather advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.

Drivers are urged to use caution while on the road.

Original Post, Oct. 28: The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Montgomery County—a rarity in October.

The warning lasts until Saturday night, and could mean three to five inches of snow for northern parts of the county.

"Power outages will be possible in some areas as heavy wet snow brings trees with partial of full leaves down," the warning says.

Southern parts of the county should expect a snow/rain mix.
