What about our Groundwater?  We enjoy our surface water streams for enjoyment and for our drinking water for much of the County. However, just as important is groundwater. Many folks depend on groundwater for their drinking water, and groundwater quality affects surface water quality. How does Maryland protect this precious resource from contamination? How does groundwater and surface water interact? How does Maryland's geology affect the protection of this resource? Mike will talk about groundwater protection in Maryland. Mike's a geologist with Maryland Department of Environment's Wastewater Permits Program. This meeting is being held in coordination with the Watts Branch Watershed Alliance.
