Philosophy behind the Little Explorer's Preschool

Little Explorer's Preschool is a wonderful preschool program targeted to children, ages 3 and 4.

Children are naturally curious and want to explore the world around them; this preschool facilitates such learning through lesson plans that not only teach reading, language, and math, but most importantly science.  Carefully planned lessons taught at the Little Explorer’s preschool are based on Maryland Model for School Readiness Standards.

Early Childhood education is a critical time for children's cognitive development.  Strong Preschool programs can help to improve academic discrepancies at the start of elementary school. Everyone can build new ideas and refine their discovery about how the world works.  The most important aspect about the Little Explorer’s Preschool is that it not just teaches facts, but encourages inquiry.

Each month we will explore one of ten science-based topics from Anthropology to Zoology. Each topic integrates specific letter sounds, colors, and shapes.  Children will learn basic facts through hands-on learning.  Monthly, they will perform experiments, create art projects, learn songs, and listen to stories, just to name a few. At Little Explorer’s, fun is the name of the game.

Little Explorer’s preschool offers a two-day program as well as a three-day program.  Each program can hold a maximum of 10 students.
