Updated: Esworthy Road Fire Causes Significant Damage

Updated, Thursday, 8:55 a.m.: A North Potomac home sustained significant damage estimated at $600,000 caused by a garage fire Wednesday evening, MCFRS Capt. Oscar Garcia said.

No occupants of the home at 13110 Esworthy Road were injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Garcia said, adding at least one firefighter injury has been reported.

Updated, Wednesday, 9:30 p.m.: Montgomery County Fire and Rescue workers are at the scene of a garage fire at 13110 Esworthy Road in North Potomac.

Responders are battling heavy fire in a detached garage, according to MCFRS Assistant Chief Scott Graham.

No injuries have been reported.
