Police Blotter: July 16 to 24

Both residential and commercial burglaries were reported for the third week in July.

 

Residential and commercial burglaries, as well as thefts from vehicles were reported in and around Darnestown and North Potomac between July 16 and 24. The police report showed no violent crime in our area.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 76000 block of Moccasin Lane, Derwood on July 23 between 11:45 p.m. and 11:56 p.m. Forced entry, nothing taken. A 16-year-old male from Baltimore was arrested.
  • residential burglary occurred in the 15900 block of Yukon Lane, Derwood on July 23 between 9 p.m. and 11:56 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.
  • commercial burglary occurred at 212 Marsh Hollow Place in King Farm Condos, Rockville, on July 22 at 12:30 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken. A 28-year-old male was arrested.

  • Three thefts from vehicles overnight from July 16 to July 17.
    • Unit block of Hawthorne Court, between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. A purse and coins were taken. 
    • 800 block of Azalea Drive, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Two iPods were taken.  
    • 700 block of Azalea Drive, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. A purse was taken.
