Sexual Assault, Armed Robbery, Burglaries Reported In Potomac

1st District Montgomery County Police Department releases crime information for Dec. 17-26.

A sexual assault, an armed robbery and two residential burglaries were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of Dec. 17-26.

  • A sexual assault was reported in the 2500 block of Stratton Drive in Potomac on Monday, Dec. 24, at 10:45 p.m. Police said a 45-year-old man from Rockville was arrested and knew the alleged victim.
  • A robbery occurred at the M&T Bank, 11325 Seven Locks Road in Potomac, on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 9:10 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
  • A residential burglary was reported on Wednesday, Dec. 19, between 10:22 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the 9400 block of Turnberry Drive in Potomac. No forced entry; property taken.
  • A residential burglary was reported on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 8:41 p.m., in the 6900 block of Anchorage Drive in Potomac. Forced entry; property taken.
