Judge set bail for North Potomac man who violated a restraining order.

Update, Dec. 22, 5:02 p.m:

The Associated Press reports a judge offered Jack Jordan a chance to leave jail while he awaits charges. The judge set a $250,000 cash bail or $500,000 bond for the North Potomac man sentenced to probation for stalking actress Uma Thurman.

Jordan's lawyers told the Associated Press they were unsure if he would be able to post bail.

A North Potomac man sentenced to probation for stalking actress Uma Thurman was extradited from Mongomery County to New York last week.

According to reports from the Associated Press, Jack Jordan, 39, was jailed on Friday on charges of trying to contact the actress best known for her roles in "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction," in violation of a restraining order.

Montgomery County police on Nov. 23. Since then he has been held in jail without bail.

According to reports from the Gazette, police found Jordan at his home sitting at his computer searching for "Uma Thurman" on Google.

The Associated Press reports prosecutors said Jordan made several calls to Thurman in October, but when he was extradited to New York last week, he told police the calls were a "drunken mistake."
