County Executive Leggett and Fire Chief Bowers Host Briefing on Brush Fire

The that overtook 500 acres in Darnestown and Germantown in February was in Montgomery County. A total of 300 firefighters from throughout the Washington, D.C. region teamed up to battle the flames in spite of the 55 mph wind gusts.

On Thursday, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett and Fire Chief Richard Bowers will give the public an overview of how County officials and Fire and Rescue operated that Saturday.

The public is invited to attend the briefing at 7 p.m. in the Quince Orchard High School auditorium.
