PHOTOS: QO's 1991 Championship Team Reunited, Recognized

The school's first state title team comes together 20 years after their championship season.

On a night where Quince Orchard High School to keep its undefeated season in tact, the school welcomed home members of its 1991 state championship football team. 

Members of the team, including quarterback Larry Hurd, running back Jacob Ritchie, and wide receiver Richard Tyler, as well as former coaches Ernie Ceccato, Larry Hurd, Sr., Fred Agnello and John Papuchis, gathered before the game to reconnect and celebrate then gathered behind the endzone and watched as the Cougars overcame the Screamin' Eagles to move to 5-0 on the season. 

Some players remain local, such as Randy Leatherwood and Chad Dorfman. Others came from all over the country, such as Robert Pattishall (Los Angeles) and Cory Chambers (Indianapolis). Team manager Sandra Maxwell, as well as many of the team's cheerleaders were also in attendance.

On the same field, 20 years earlier, the same group of players defeated Seneca Valley, 21-20, to move to 5-0 on the season en route to capturing the Maryland 4A state title later that year.
