QO High School Inaugurates School Athletics Website

The Cougars' sports teams now have a home online

Quince Orchard High School Athletics Department has launched a new website in order to keep the school community informed.

“We talked with people in our community and looked at options that were available and decided to go in the same direction as some of the other Athletic Departments in Montgomery County.” Colleen Kelly, a Quince Orchard High School teacher and athletics department supporter, said in an email to Patch.

The school is using a company called Big Teams, who provide web platforms specifically designed for student sports organizations to get information out to their support community

Some of the tools available to the Quince Orchard Athletics department include email blasts to fans of any team. Parents and community members can sign up and be notified of events and changes in the schedules.

“We can also post photos and videos,” Kelly added, “it has some nice features for us to use.”

The website includes a calendar, scoreboards, and almost anything the community would like to know about the teams and athletic department activities. There is even a section with written directions to area fields and schools where the QO teams compete.

Registered community members can upload photos of games and events as well as customize which teams they want to follow.

There are over 39 athletic teams at QOHS. This website will allow the school community to keep tabs on all of them in one central location.
