Rep. Van Hollen, OAR Frontman To Speak At Local Graduations

Montgomery County announced graduation speakers for Thomas Wootton and Quince Orchard High Schools.

Montgomery County Public Schools have announced details of who will deliver the commencement addresses at area high schools.

U.S. Representative Chris Van Hollen will speak at 's graduation, which takes place at DAR Constitution Hall on June 1 at 10 a.m. Van Hollen has served Maryland's 8th congressional district since 2003.

's graduation will take place later that day at 2:30 p.m. The lead singer of the band OAR, the group known for hits "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker" and "Shattered", Marc Roberge will speak at that ceremony.

For Roberge, the trip back to Wootton will be personal one. Roberge and the three other original members of OAR, Chris Culos, Richard On and Benj Gershman, grew up in Rockville and graduated from Wootton in 1997. According to their website, they formed the band in 1996 and released their first album before graduation. The four friends then moved together to attend Ohio State University.
