Superintendent Reschedules Visit to Wootton

Dr. Joshua Starr will host a "Listen and Learn" event Oct. 19 at the Rockville high school.

Montgomery County Public Schools superintendent Dr. Joshua Starr's "Listen and Learn" program will make its way to Thomas S. Wootton High School after all.

Parents, students, faculty, and community members are welcome to join Starr at the high school in Rockville on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. to familiarize themselves with his agenda as well as voice their own concerns.

Originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, the event was canceled due to a conflict with schools in the Wootton cluster, Wootton principal Dr. Michael Doran said.

Robert Frost and Cabin John middle schools' back-to-school night's were also scheduled for Sept. 8. Both schools feed into Wootton and scheduling conflict would make it difficult for many parents to attend, Doran said.

The event at Wootton is the seventh of 10 "Listen and Learn" programs across the county.
