Two Wootton, One Quince Orchard Senior Win Scholarship

Montgomery County Public Schools announced the latest round of National Merit Scholarships awards on Tuesday.

Two seniors from and one senior from were among the 17 Montgomery County Public Schools awarded National Merit Scholarships in the latest round announced this week.

The following three students will receive $2,500 for college.

  • Seth M. Margolis, a Wootton senior who will be attending Washington University in Missouri.
  • Eric M. Woodard, a Wootton senior who will be attending Vanderbilt University.
  • Meghan K. Thomas, a Quince Orchard senior who will be attending the University of Kansas.

A total of 67 students in Montgomery County Public Schools have been awarded National Merit Scholarships this year. That represents one-third of the total scholarships awarded to Maryland, according to an MCPS press release.
