VIDEO: Darnestown Colonial Day

Darnestown Elementary School held its 13th Annual Darnestown Colonial Day on Friday. While the entire school took part, the event is especially for 5th grade students. Each 5th grader came to school without any normal "modern" conveniences, such as lunch boxes or plastic, but instead dressed in full colonial outfits and made crafts, played games and ate food as if they lived in colonial times.

At the end of the day, the 5th grade classes each put on a play focused around one historic event.
