More than 500 graduates were honored at the ceremony on Thursday.
Gov. Martin O'Malley was the featured guest at the Universities at Shady Grove's 10th graduation celebration on Thursday night.
With more than 500 graduates this year, the school has come a long way from the 37 people in its first graduating class in 2000.
The Universities at Shady Grove offer more than 60 undegraduate and graduate degree progrmas from nine instituitions within the University System of Maryland.
