Your Graduation Day Guide

Everything you need to know about where to park, sit and when to arrive at DAR Constitution Hall for Northwest High School's graduation.

It's graduation day for Northwest High School on Tuesday. That means getting the family in the car, into D.C. and in a nice position to get plenty of photos of your graduate.

But we know a lot of logistics are involved to make that happen. We're here to help.

The ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m.

Where to park:

  • Parking garage on 19th Street, between E and F streets; Cost: $14 - 18
  • Parking garage on 18th Street, between F and G streets; Cost: $17 - 18
  • Parking garage on G Street, between 18th and 19th streets; Cost: $18
  • Parking garage on Pennsylvania Avenue, between 17th and 18th streets; Cost: $18
  • Parking garage on H Street, between 18th and 19th streets; Cost: $18

What to expect:

In addition to student speakers and the handing out of diplomas, guest speaker, John Harwood, will deliver the commencement address.

Harwood is the chief Washington correspondent for CNBC and a political writer for the New York Times. He grew up in the area and now lives in Silver Spring.

Can't make it in person?

If you're unable to attend the ceremony in person, the ceremonies will be broadcasted live on the DAR website. This is also a great way for out of town relatives to "attend" the ceremony, too.
