QO varsity baseball extended its winning streak to seven games—defeating Rockville, Richard Montgomery (RM), Churchill and Gaithersburg—during spring break.

Junior pitcher Daniel Fishback tossed a shutout in QO's 7-0 win over RM, allowing just two hits and striking out three in his second complete game of the season. Fishback is 3-0 with a 1.81 ERA on the year.

QO (7-1) travels to face Watkins Mill on Wednesday.

Boys' and girls' varsity lacrosse were both off during break, but the boys' team (2-1) looks to rebound after falling to Wootton, 10-1, in its final game before break.

Varsity softball (5-1) split a doubleheader last Monday at Blair High School, falling to the Blazers, 8-0, before knocking off Walter Johnson, 12-2.

Wootton's boys' varsity lacrosse team, winner of six consecutive 4A West region titles, is off to a mixed start.

The Patriots are 3-0 against county opponents but 0-3 against all others. In hosting its annual spring break tournament, Wootton fell to Coronado (CA), 10-6, and Marriott's Ridge (Maryland 3A/2A South), 10-5.

The school's varsity baseball team (4-3) snapped a three-game losing streak, defeating Seneca Valley in its third and final spring break game. Junior pitcher Kevin Mooney struck out seven batters and allowed two earned runs over six innings in the win.

The Patriots had previously lost to Quince Orchard, Avalon and Blair.
