Wootton-BCC Football Up For CBS Game of the Week

The Wootton Patriots' Friday night football matchup at Bethesda-Chevy Chase is one of five games nominated for CBS Channel 9's Game of the Week.

Currently, the Patriots game is second in the polls, trailing the Edison-Stuart game 57.5 percent to 41.8 percent at the time of this report. Voting closes tonight at 10 p.m.

Wootton led with 52 percent of the vote as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday night, according to WoottonFootball.com.

Wootton is coming off a 33-30 loss at Blake last week, snapping the school's two game winning streak and dropping them to 3-3 overall. BCC is 2-4 and trails Wootton by one game in the Montgomery 4A South division.
