The Wootton Patriots opened the 2013 football season with a bang, cruising to a 41-0 victory Saturday at Walter Johnson, according to MoCoFootball.com.
The Patriots were led by wide receiver Trevon Diggs and quarterback Sam Ellis, who threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers.
The Patriots look to improve to 2-0 Thursday night when they travel to Bethesda to face 1-0 Bethesda-Chevy Chase. B-CC defeated Churchill 25-15 in its season opener.
