Meet Your Neighbor: Art Slesinger
Slesinger has been leading the fight for better utility reliability since moving to Darnestown in 2007.
After 15 years as an environmental affairs and safety director at a large pharmaceutical company in Connecticut, Art Slesinger moved with his wife to Darnestown in 2007 to be closer to their two daughters.
It didn't take long for the Maryland-transplant to get involved in local issues.
Frustrated by frequent power outages, Slesinger joined the Darnestown Civic Association and began leading the fight for better utility reliability.
