Baretta is only one of many businesses and people leaving this state thanks to the inane and insaneRead More rulings of the O'Malley/Brown regime. If the states population is increasing as Mr. Burton suggests it is probably because of O'Malley/Brown making this state a sanctuary state. That so many hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens (450,000 at last count) can suck up our tax dollars to the tune of over $1.0 billion per year.

Bryan, maybe Patch is just the beginning. With all the hacking spying and such going on, the days ofRead More the internet may be numbered. Snail mail may yet make a come-back. At least, with a printer, you can turn your computer into a typewriter.
Chuck Burton July 23, 2014 at 07:55 pm
Bob, wait until Mr. Brown becomes governor. You aint seen nuthin yet.

I guess they didn't want him tying up the bank lines so his life was not worth the wait to calm himRead More down or tase him ?
Diane Millard July 23, 2014 at 10:51 am
Should have tased him.....doesn't make sense why they shot and killed him!

I love it when people who have zero training and zero knowledge of the situation try and tell policeRead More officers what they should have done.

Is it me or should there be more to this story??? I remember when you could pick up a news paper andRead More actually read news. I guess now if it's over 150 characters it's to much information.

I'm not defending these people by no means but it is so hard dealing with one autistic person andRead More for them to deal with two? In NJ once a person reaches 21 they are aged out of the "system". What happens when autistic children become adults? No programs for parent of autistic adults, no help! Nobody unless you have experienced it yourself understands............ People who are parents of autistic adults needs tons of help, they become desperate because they don't have any options.

Chrissy July 23, 2014 at 02:02 pm
The idiot left his elderly disabled mother in a hot car in a parking garage, at a casino, to go in aRead More gamble. In the very least that is irresponsible, at most, it is criminal!
art doyle July 23, 2014 at 02:14 pm
Chrissy, do spiders cause you to become apoplectic? I imagine they woke her from her 81 degree oven.Read More What are you fretting over? The poor woman had no one to annoy with her racist rants for five hours?

I think people are jumping to conclusions here. He apparently parked in a parking garage. Granted,Read More five hours is too long and he should just be considered a bad son, but he really didn't do anything illegal. Sure she was incoherent when the police first questioned her. She's 98 years old and was asleep when they started questioning her. How many of us make a lot of sense when we first wake up? My 83-year-old is just now complaining about being cold and I have the airconditioning turned up to 78. Older people can deal with heat a little better, apparently. I bet the mother was doing just fine until the "good" citizen decided she wasn't. But it's good that they called her son.

Support local farms! Buy at farmers markets or visit their farm markets if you can.
Kolo Jezdec July 23, 2014 at 12:55 pm
What Roger said. And there are plenty of places where you can "pick your own," so youRead More know exactly where the produce came from. No reason to buy produce in a super market during the summer.
Bob Higginbotham July 23, 2014 at 07:32 pm
If I recall correctly "organic" means they were fertilized with "natural"Read More compounds. Beside being cheaper, I think I prefer my consumables to be fertilized with nitrates, etc. that are made by artificial means. They are guaranteed to be pure without any chance of contaminants.

Governor Martin O'Malley is meeting with faith-based groups to come up with solutions for sheltering immigrant children.
ABell July 22, 2014 at 01:43 pm
So sick of politicians using anything and everything to get them noticed. We should not even beRead More talking about this and would not be if our borders were as protected as the American people are made to believe. Our country is in great need, perhaps that 1% haven't noticed but children in this country go to bed every night hungry and homeless. I am sorry that these immigrant children are suffering in their country but until we take care of our own, I fail to see the rationale in taking on someone else's problems. We are fast becoming a country full of opportunists and let's not even get into how DUMB we are. Very sad....

I guess Marty wouldn't dare address a group that didn't share his same views. What a jack--s.
Buzz Beeler July 23, 2014 at 09:23 am
He can't take care of our own vets, launch a health care program and takes most of our hard earnedRead More money. Now he wants to take care of the worlds problems. As they say Martin, never pass up a good photo-op, especially on the backs of children who garnish the most press.

The Lawyers are the ones that will get 40% of that settlement. The Hospitals premiums will go up andRead More that cost will be absorbed by everyone who has insurance.. There was no harm to anyone, and I understand no ones face was seen in any of the pictures. So if you are in the middle class and see your health insurance premiums go up once again thank the trial lawyers. Funny how they can get away with it in a country where the laws are written by lawyers.... Kind of like "Hershey's" writing the dietary requirements, really doesn't make sense. .

Granny Gruntz, I missed your comment, before; but the Bible says Cain and Seth went off to the LandRead More of Nod to find wives. It doesn't say anything about where Nod was, or who created or populated it (presumably God, maybe on an off day), or it's story, or who the boys married, or other little details. I guess because the girls would have been shiksa. Not really important in Hebrew history; the telling of which is actually the whole purpose of the Old Testament.
Bryan Harz July 23, 2014 at 07:57 am
Debating bible stories in today's age is pointless. Ancient made-up history.
