Big Pines Local Park

Established in 1973, this 11-acre park is easily accessible to the Travilah community.  Partly enclosed by woodedMore areas, the park features a basketball court, tennis courts, a soccer field and a playground as well as an area for picnics.  This quiet greenery offers community residents and guests a public space for sporting events, familial gatherings and walks – something much needed just outside the beltway.
Victory Youth Center

This center was founded in September 2001 to provide recreational and after-school community space for children andMore young adults in. It was the first center built by Victory Youth Centers, a non profit under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Washington D.C.

This center features a gymnasium with bleacher seating for up to 250 people and two meeting rooms.  The gymnasium is available to rent for $60 per hour and the meeting rooms are available for $30 per hour. In the past it has hosted the Beltway Basketball league, MSI Soccer, the CYO basketball league, AAU girls and boys basketball leagues, Maryland Sports Association camp, and the Five Star Foundation basketball clinic.

Bretton Woods Recreation Center

The IMF founded this center 42 years ago to provide recreational facilities for its staff and families. The 285 acresMore here include an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, volleyball and basketball court, soccer field and walking and jogging trails.

In the summer, Bretton Woods hosts a day camp for kids age 13 - 15 with a range of indoor and outdoor activities. It also offers a summer tennis camp and junior golf academy each year.

The private 18-hole golf course was designed by Ed Ault. It's available for golf outings for $90 per person on Mondays and Wednesdays and $95 per person on Fridays. Bretton Woods rents out its facilities for private and corporate events throughout the year.
