O'Donnell's Sea Grill To Close Its Doors

The restaurant announced in a Facebook post that its 90th year will also be its last.

O'Donnell's Sea Grill—currently celebrating its 90th year in the DC-metropolitan area—announced on its Facebook page this year will also be its last: Dear Friend/Customer of O’Donnell’s Sea Grill: We have proudly been serving the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for 90 years – and are celebrating our anniversary this year with joy and excitement. It is in this same year, that we have made the purposeful decision to officially close our doors and exit on a most high note.  The restaurant has not announced an official closing date, according to The Town Courier. MoCo Food Trucks Park It, Online

A collection of food trucks in Montgomery County organized a collective website, www.mocofoodtrucks.com.

  The grown-up lunch line is just as likely to be outside, on the corner of a busy intersection as it is inside of a strip mall restaurant. (And it's been that way for years now.) New Restaurant 'The Bench' Opens In Gaithersburg

The kitchen, bar and lakeside patio is open at the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center.

The Gaithersburg Marriott's newest addition is ready for customers. The Bench — a kitchen, lounge and lakeside patio — opened this week, completing one phase of the hotel's major upgrades. One meat: The Costco that opened earlier this month at the Wheaton mall includes a kosher dairy bakery, Wheaton Patch reported. What makes Costco's bakery different from the other kosher bakeries in the area is that it is dairy, instead of pareve. Pareve baked goods, because they are prepared without dairy or meat, can then be eaten at a meal with either dairy or meat, under kosher guidelines. Report: Gaithersburg Lockheed Martin Branch Slashes More Than 650 Employees

The Gaithersburg-based information systems unit cut more than 650 employees in the first quarter of the year, The Washington Post reported.

Lockheed Martin's Gaithersburg-based information systems unit has cut its workforce significantly in the first quarter of 2013. About 240 employees left the company through a voluntary layoff program in February and more than 400 employees in the information systems unit were trimmed involuntarily during the same quarter, The Washington Post reported. A Lockheed spokeswoman said 168 of the roughly 650 employees were based in the Washington area, according to the report. Bruce Tanner, Lockheed’s chief financial officer, said the company is not planning for further reductions at this time, according to the report. Report: Paladar Latin Kitchen To Join Crown Lineup

The Cleveland-based Latin restaurant will come to Gaithersburg next year, The Washington Business Journal reports.

Another tenant is scheduled to be joining the Downtown Crown lineup, following quickly behind news of Georgetown Square Wine and Beer opening a location in the Gaithersburg development. Cleveland-based Paladar Latin Kitchen is scheduled to open on Fields Road in Gaithersburg in 2014, The Washington Business Journal reports. "Paladar Latin Kitchen and rum bar serves 50 types of rum and cuisine from Central and South America, Cuba and the Caribbean," according to the report. Read more on The Washington Business Journal. Upscale Outlet Mall Coming to Clarksburg

What stores would you like to see?

High-end shopping is in Clarksburg’s future. Tanger Outlet Centers and Peterson Cos. announced Tuesday their plans to build an upscale outlet mall at the interchange of Interstate 270 and Stringtown Road. The outlet center is in the pre-development stage, according to a press release from Tanger. The release did not specify the size or scope of the site. Peterson Cos. purchased the site—part of the 100-acre Miles-Coppula property—in February 2012, The Gazette reported. The outlet is expected to occupy 40 acres, Taylor Chess, Peterson Cos. senior vice president of retail, told the newspaper. Tanger and Peterson are collaborating on Tanger Outlets National Harbor, which is due for completion in Prince George’s County late this year, …
