23-Year-Old Charged With Burglary In Lowes Break-In

Lamont Alvin White, of the 11000 block of McKay Road in Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with second degree burglary and additional related charges in connection to Sunday's incident at Lowes.

A 23-year-old Fort Washington man was arrested in connection to Sunday's early morning break-in at Lowes in the Kentlands, according to Gaithersburg City police. Lamont Alvin White, of the 11000 block of McKay Road, was charged with second degree burglary and additional related charges. White is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center, according to police. He is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County District Court for a preliminary hearing on June 15. Officers from Gaithersburg City Police Department and Montgomery County Police Department were dispatched to the Kentlands Lowes, located at 40 Market Street, at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday, May 20, to respond to an alarm, according to Gaithersburg City police. North Potomac-Darnestown Crime: Commercial Burglary, Copper Theft

A commercial burglary occurred at Potomac Garden Center at 12024 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg, between 6 p.m. Sunday, April 22 and 8 a.m. Monday, April 23. Police reported that suspects broke into the store and property was taken. A ladder was used to to climb to the roof of Magruders, 12116 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg, where 50 feet of copper paneling was removed. North Potomac-Darnestown Crime: Darnestown Church Burglarized

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A burglary was reported at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Darnestown, according to the Montgomery County Police Department's recent crime summary. According to police, the burglary at the church on 15575 Germantown Road occurred between 5 p.m., March 23 and 4:45 p.m., March 24. Entry was forced and property was taken, police said.
