Thanksgiving Solutions: Sweet Potato Biscuits

A new take on the traditional Thanksgiving side dish.

Biscuits are an essential part of Thanksgiving in the South. A family member requested sweet potato biscuits, but the only recipes I found were made with cooked or canned sweet potato. They tasted gummy and odd, not at all like the flaky biscuits I was used to.  So I experimented and came up with these biscuits. I know, I know, they're not "real" Southern biscuits because they include an egg. They're quick to make and you don't even need a rolling pin – just a food processor and a well-floured counter or pastry board.  It takes about as long to read these directions as it does to make the biscuits.
