Quince Orchard Manor Residents To Have Power Shut Off

Residents of Bambi Court received notices of power cutoff for Friday morning

Update, 10:03 a.m.: Pepco Spokesman Bob Hainey, said "Pepco is enhancing underground cables in that neighborhood, and during an inspection found a transformer with a defective part.  The underground transformer will be replaced. The work is deferred to Monday due to today's rain."

Original Post, 6 a.m.: Residents who live on Bambi Court near Ridgeview Middle School found  Pepco notices hung on their front doors this week informing them that power was being cut off Friday so maintenance could be performed.

The notices said the power would go out 9:30 a.m. for "repairs or improvements to the electrical system."

A Pepco customer representative was unable to advise how long the service would be off or what the work would entail.

Pepco spokesperson Bob Hainey said the company was looking into the situation and hoped to provide more details by Friday morning.
