Police Blotter: August 25 to 31

Several burglaries were reported in North Potomac this week

There were several reports of burglaries in and around Darnestown and North Potomac between August 21 and August 31. The police report showed no violent crime in our area.

  • A residential garage burglary occurred in the 14300 block of Platinum Drive, North Potomac between Sunday, 8/21 at 8:30 p.m. and Monday, 8/22 at 7:45 a.m. Unforced entry; property taken.
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10900 block of Broad Green Terrace, Potomac between 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 8/17 and 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, 8/18. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at The China East Restaurant, 14050 Travilah Road, North Potomac between 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8/18 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 8/19. Forced entry; property taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 11900 block of Ledgerock Court, Potomac on Tuesday, 8/23 at 7:33 p.m. Unknown means of entry; nothing taken.
  • Three thefts from vehicles occurred between 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, 8/14 and 6:17 a.m. on Monday, 8/15 in this North Potomac neighborhood. The first two vehicles were unlocked and the third had unknown entry:

- In the 14700 block of Chisolm Landing Way. A GPS unit was taken.

- In the 10500 block of Smithy Court. Cash was taken.
